Why brink is bad

There is no need for tactics due to bland map design and poor objective design and layout. This is the reason SD thought the game works great, internally. And for that matter, it probably did. There are other things that can be done.

Wolfenstein was a better game than Brink and Wolfenstein had less lag than Brink. Wolfenstein also had a server list. Brink has no server list and no lobby system. I have to disagree. The most obvious reason for this is that the linearity there serves a purpose. With the game having a degree of linearity, you enable teamplay as you can have a team focusing on something.

Rather, there are hardly any Multiplayer games that encourage team-play without a significant degree of linearity. So in my opinion, and that of others which like these kind of games, SD have done a good job at map and gameplay design. But indeed there are problems with the game. First of all has to be the performance of the game.

Furthermore another significant problem is that Brink tried to jack of all trades. In the end, it is kind of a master of none.

Once again, there are other ways than to make huge, open scale maps. There are other ways of doing it. And oh look! I meant those other ways of doing it. And also, there are other ways of directing gameplay ways that would also work in the current state of Brink.

Also, at the moment, Brink is for the most part sugarcoating the lone wolf concept. There are ways to encourage working together. In my opinion, the security is a little bit bad because they won't let you leave The Ark. But this builds up teamwork for your child.

Only a little blood spark when you shoot someone. There's no stabbing like Call Of Duty, it's a quick bloodless slash. From what I've heard, you can turn off the blood. Not really any language, either. Good game if you want to improve teamwork skills. This title contains: Positive Messages. Positive role models.

Adult Written by Randocity2 June 12, Perfect for Teens The story in Brink is very dark, people are rebelling and trying to overthrough the Security force that is trying to help them. This choice shows true character in a person. The violence is not as bad as some of the games now. Tiny spurts of blood pop up when you shoot a character, nothing to graphic.

When you are shot down, blood outlines the screen, symbolizing that you are bleeding. Language is not a problem, in my playthrough, i only heard one curse word. Adult Written by BrioCyrain May 6, The content matter is nothing to worry about. There is very little blood, belive me. As for the language I have heard worse watching Christmas Vacation.

This game is great. Teen, 15 years old Written by beastmon14 August 7, It is a bit violent, but nothing that a teenager hears in a day of school. I played gears of war in 6th grade, didn't scare me. This title contains: Educational Value.

Positive Messages. Positive role models. Kid, 12 years old July 30, Good game Amazing game the violence was not the worst i've ever seen yet still the bleed when shot but little to no blood. The role models were good the really proved to be loyal but very pigeon holed and not listen to what the ark has to say. I have never had a problem with the online play but theres always that one guy out there that will mess with you. Every now and the if a character is shot till the piont where he is on the ground he will say s--t.

Well-polished, not insanely violent or profane I played this game with some friends and the gameplay involves a lot of teamwork elements such as reviving and providing ammunition Also, there is some depiction of blood but that's about it; you can hit enemies with your gun but nothing sadistic like cutting them with a chainsaw.

Characters are widely customizable along with the firearms not real-life models. As for role models there's a security force that wants to keep people on the island and a rebel group that wants to leave.

I think you see one character smoking a cigar at one point but it's quite short. Overall good game for who can handle it. Kid, 12 years old July 9, Brink is a fast-paced game good for children 10 and up. In Brink, you may choose to play as one of two factions, The Resistance or the Security.

The game offers hours of endless gameplay at a good price. There isn't too much blood to be of concern to parents and there isn't a lot of cussing. In Brink, while you progress through levels, you unlock clothing and other fun stuff for your character. The game offers near endless customization, from the size of your nose to the color of your pants. The game is very cartoony but somewhat realistic.

When wounded, players don't simply go blaaah and fall down; instead they fall to the ground and must wait until they die and join their team's reinforcements or are revived by a teammate. There are many weapons to choose from and teamwork is almost essential to gameplay. It may be hard at first but anyone can get the hang of it.

You forgot the built-in Ping Multiplier which gets you ping from 40 to randomly. Darkslayer16 View Profile View Posts. If you're constantly waiting for your health to regen youre playing it wrong. Also if you don't know what you're doing you haven't played an FPS in the last like 15 years. You can climb walls, wall jump, auto jump over lower walls and slide. The game is also years old. Also Dirty Bomb is garbage. I have no problems with the game, fun, great story, customaztion, good visuals, runs decent, good music, modes with ai bots.

But that's just my views. The game was overhyped, like really overhyped prior to release. I remember nearly every gaming news outlet wouldn't stop talking about it, saying how "it would revolutionize the multiplayer side of gaming". Yes, the bubble grew that much. And of course, when players finally got their hands on it, the game mostly flopped and the bubble popped.

I think it even advertised the single-player mode was going to be 'fantastic' but it was just PvE players vs. People felt betrayed over this and left the game soon after. The gaming world didn't learn from this mistake considering what happened to Evolve just a few years later after Brink.
