You can blame Donovan McNabb all you want, but the Redskins would have been even worse without him. Washington is just not a good team right now. They could use help at every position, including wide receiver. Santana Moss and Anthony Armstrong were the only two decent wide receivers for the team last year. Baskett may not be a stud, but he would help a weak receiving core. Plus, all of Baskett's success in his career has come when McNabb is throwing him the ball.
Baskett could be brought back to at least compete for one of the final receiver during training camp. There were multiple reasons for this, the most obvious being that the Bears don't have the best receivers in the league.
